The City

Surrounded by its architectural beauties and the spectacular landscape, Ravello is regarded as the “Jewel in the Crown” of the Amalfi Coast. Ravello has been the favourite destination of scholars, artists, writers and musicians like Boccaccio, Wagner, D.H.Lawrence, E.M.Forster, Gore Vidal-all looking for inspiration for their art. Gore Vidal described the Gardens of the Villa Cimbrone that culminate in the spectacular Terrace of the Infinite as “the most beautiful in the world.” The annual Ravello Festival takes place in the summer on the main Rufolo terrace with a series of outdoor entertainments. Opened in 2010, the impressive “Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium ”is now available to house performances all year round.

Getting to Ravello

There are several ways to reach Ravello, either by car or by public transportation.

By car you have to follow Napoli direction, then get out from the high-way at Caserta Sud, get on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria, get out at Pagani-Nocera exit and then follow the signpost to Valico di Chiunzi and Costiera Amalfitana. There is an alternative path too: you will again get out at Caserta Sud, then follow Salerno direction. Get out at Vietri sul Mare exit, then follow the signposting to Ravello. You will travel through Cetara, Maiori and Minori, having at the same time a great view of the Costiera. This second itinerary though is rid with traffic, especially during high season and weekends.

By Train you will have to reach Salerno, and then move from there with bus.

By plane, Naples Airport Capodichino is the closest one

Restaurant "Raffaele"

The Restaurant offers excellent dishes using classical Mediterranean cooking and also typical regional recipes all with a touch of Parsifal creativity.
In summer, dinner is served outside on the terrace in an enchanting and romantic atmosphere with the Amalfi Coast as a backdrop.
As this is extremely popular with our guests, we strongly suggest table booking in advance.
